Mancure Daniel Conway letter
Handwritten and signed letter dated June 17, 1880 and addressed to "My dear Stedman." Conway thanks Stedman for an invitation to stay at his home. Conway also mentions that he will give lectures to defray his expenses and lists various subjects on which he would speak.
Dorita : a little Maya girl
Handwritten and typewritten drafts of a story of a little girl. The story is about a real person but seems to have fictional elements in it. Also included are correspondence. Most of these items deal with Rhoads' attempts to get the story published.
Lafcadio Hearn letter
Typewritten letter dated August 1883. The item is addressed to the author, William Douglas O'Connor. Hearn praises O'Connor's writings and discusses other well-known authors including Walt Whitman.
David Hinshaw letters
Three typewritten letters. Two were signed by Hinshaw with "David." They related to the publication of poems by Arthur Guiterman (1871-1943), to the present political situation of the United States, and to personal matters. Two are on "Washington" journal stationary, are addressed to "Maurice," and are dated Nov. 7 and 14, 1930. The remaining item is neither addressed, dated, nor signed and is not on "Washington" stationary but deals with similar matters of the other two.
Elbert Hubbard letter
Handwritten letter dated October 16, 1904 and addressed to "Brother Bean." Hubbard mentions "that book" probably referring to a publication matter.
Mary Jameson Judah correspondence
Handwritten correspondence between Judah and various friends and authors. Most of the items relate to personal matters and questions concerning writing. Correspondents include the writers James Whitcomb Riley (1849-1916) and Henry Blake Fuller (1857-1929).

The little misery
Handwritten draft of an unpublished short story with corrections. The date of the composition is uncertain. Also included is a signed letter written to a Mr. Wall in 1929 that deals with the publication of a story by Chambers called "The Happy Parrot."
Lowell Thomas letters
Typewritten copies of letters, essays, and news reports broadcast on radio. Thomas comments on United States' and world affairs and describes the numerous areas he visited. These materials were assembled by Hack Miller for the "Deseret News" newspaper in Salt Lake City, Utah.
J. B. Phillips letter
Typewritten and signed letter dated April 11, 1969 and addressed to Charles D. Tate of Brigham Young University. Phillips is pleased with reviews of his book "Ring of Truth" that were sent to him by Tate.
