Wallace F. Bennett letters
The three letters of this collection were written on 1, 12, and 23 March 1962. The first and last of these were written by Bennett to William M. Timmins, Jr., (1936- ), and the second was written by Timmins. The letters deal with the topics of free trade and the lead-zinc mining industry.

Frank J. Cannon letter
Handwritten and signed letter addressed to John M. Cannon. The item deals with mines and money matters in Utah.
William Coruth letters
Handwritten and signed letters addressed to family members. Coruth writes about his mining activities in Merced County, California, and about family matters. William forcefully admonishes his son, Robert, not to enlist in the army at the outset of the American Civil War. He also advises Robert not to come to California because of low wages and harsh living conditions.
H. Heiman letter
Handwritten letter dated 26 Dec. 1850. The item was written in Legards Bar, California and was addressed to D. M. Woodin in Lapeer, Michigan. Heiman writes about life at the gold mines. He states that working in the mines is for people willing to "work hard and live like a dog."
Harriet P. Goodell Howard letters
Handwritten letters from Harriet P. Goodell Howard and other members of the Goodell family including M.W. Goodell. The letters discuss Goodell family matters and give insights into life in the mining camps.
Arthur Mastick Hyde papers
Consists of many of the personal, political, and business items of Arthur Hyde, governor of Missouri from 1921 to 1925.
Thomas Mingus Johnston letters
Photocopy of letters from T.M. Johnston in Sacramento, California, to his parents and to his sister, Lilly, in Scotland. He breifly mentions local Mormons in one letter.
Lee Kay correspondence
Original letters to Lee Kay and personal papers, both handwritten and typed, which include a list of his movies. The letters mostly express appreciation for the wildlife films he made and showed.
Letter to Mrs. William A. Bollinger
Handwritten letter dated 16 July 1837 and addressed to Mrs. William A. Bollinger of Rushville, Illinois. The item was signed by "Ma" and came from Mrs. Bollinger's mother who probably lived in Marysville, Ohio. Mrs. Bollinger was apparently visiting her aunt. The letter details family financial, medical, and cultural matters and also presents general news. This item gives information on agricultural life in the United States in the 1830s.
