These materials relate to Hinckley's work at Brigham Young University as a faculty member and on the Alumni Association Board of Directors, as superintendent of the Utah State Industrial School, and as secretary of the Provo Chamber of Commerce. The biographies are eulogies given by Hinckley's friends and associates.

Strong was active in the Mormon Church and served on a mission for that faith in Tahiti. Also included is a book by Strong entitled: "What do you Think?" with a handwritten dedication in the front.
