Handwritten diary covering the dates from 27 Feb. to 31 May 1883 while Alder was serving on a mission for the Mormon Church in England. Alder writes of his daily activities and of the conditions of the Mormon Church in England. Also included are notes on the Alder's genealogy.

Materials include missionary journals for Carter's service in the area of Nottingham, England. Includes descriptions of Carter's attempts to find his ancestors and relatives throughout England. The fifth journal includes a description of his return to Utah via Sydney, Australia, and his report to President John Taylor upon his return. The sixth journal includes notes Carter took on his genealogy during his missionary service. Dated 1877-1879.

Photocopy of handwritten journal written while Jackson was a missionary for the Mormon Church in England. The record includes genealogical information about the Jackson family and various recipes for household products.

The collection contains additional diaries of Charles Ursenbach for the years 1923,1926,1970,1977, and 1978 (all of which are pocket-size); a copy of "A Collection of Hymns For the Use of People Called Bible Christians;" a photograph of Charles Ursenbach with other Latter-day Saint missionaries in Montreal, 1926; and genealogical information on the Ursenbach family and "My Story" by Maureen Ursenbach Beecher, written in October 1957.
