Eliza Ann Bennion diary

Scope and Contents Includes a 149-page holograph diary kept by Eliza Ann Bennion from 1871 to 1876, while living on the "Bennion Ranch" near Vernon, in Rush Valley, Utah. Records the daily activities of a young woman in 19th century Utah, including helping her mother, doing chores, and going to church and school. She also tells of visits to family members in Taylorsville, Utah. Most entries are brief and recount simple incidents. Contains a thumbdrive with a transcribed copy of journals written by Louis Orson Brandley between 1950 and 1983. Materials record daily life in Utah and Alberta, Canada, and focus particularly on family, including Louis's wife, children, and grandchildren. William Riley Hurst papers

Contains journals and memories of William Riley Hurst, spanning from 1910, during his childhood, to his later life. The journals record Hurst's daily life in Blanding, Utah with his family and in his business.
