David B. Tower diary
Scope and Contents
One handwritten, bound journal with photocopy and typescript. Tower's record gives the views of one enlisted man in the War with Mexico. He was not involved in battle but presents an account of marching from Veracruz to Mexico City. He also describes the various areas he visited. Tower spent three months in a military hospital and later returned to the United States.
