Scope and Contents
Handwritten autobiography centering around Davis' ancestry, missions and LDS Church callings and biographical sketch of his wife Mary. Included are patriarchal blessings, temple and genealogical data, his testimony, and a letter to his grandmother. Also included are extracts from the "History of the British Mission" and the Millennial Star and a biographical sketch of the Davises by a son, Elisha Jr. The collection also contains genealogical data compiled by Jennie Davis Oliver on the Abijah Richards (maternal grandfather of Elisha) family.
