Scope and Contents
Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typescript. The item is an autobiography of James Jepson. Jepson writes about his parents in England, how they joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and migrated to Nauvoo, Illinois. Jepson also tells about his parents' further migration to Utah in 1852. James writes about his birth and early life in Salt Lake City, Utah, his move to Virgin, Utah, in 1862, his marriage in 1876 to Lucinda Stratton, and his many services to the Mormon Church. He tells about the death of his wife, Lucinda, which left him to care for seven children. He worked in the school system at Virgin, and performed much community service. He moved to Hurricane, Utah, in 1910.
