Photocopy of a handwritten and signed letter dated 3 Dec. 1843 and addressed to a Mr. Wheat. The item was written from Springfield, Illinois. McDougall states that he plans to watch the politics of Illinois closely now that he resides in Springfield. McDougall may have been a member of the legal profession.
