N. Simons letter
Scope and Contents
Photocopy of a handwritten letter dated 28 June probably in 1854 and written in Fort Laramie, Wyoming. The item was addressed to Dr. C. L. Webster of Elmore, Illinois. Simons describes the overland journey as "long, tedious and tasteless." He also expresses regret for having started the trip.
