Orson Nickison Newman diary and letter
Scope and Contents
Handwritten diary which describes Newman's daily activities during 1878-1879. Also includes a printed form letter from R.M. Newport, general land agent of the Northern Pacific Railroad Company, dated 1881 March 23 which informs Newman of the company's policy concerning the sale of its land west of the Missouri River.
