Lyman Stephen and Gideon D. Wood biographical sketches
Scope and Contents
Photocopies of three typescripts. One is a biography of Lyman Stephen Wood, the other a biography of Gideon Durfee Wood, and the third is a genealogical record of the John Daley family. Mitchell tells of the persecutions his grandfather had to endure as a Mormon in Missouri and Ohio, his move to Utah, his settling down in Springville, and his establishing the Springville Coop. Mitchell also talks about Gideon Durfee Wood who was the first mayor of Springville and member of the city council for several years. The family record covers the time from about 1780 to 1900.
