Newk letter
Scope and Contents
Handwritten and signed letter unclearly signed and dated. The item describes the travels of the writer aboard the steamboat "Hickman," a visit to the "Duponts" artesian well in New Albany, Indiana, the flooding of certain areas along the river, and the writer's impressions of the countryside of Kentucky that borders on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.
