Nancy Daley Thompson poem
Scope and Contents
Typed and signed poem entitled "Cannon Fodder." The poem describes a parents concern for a son during war time and has a strong antimilitaristic flavor. The item is not dated, however the references to planes, chemicals, and deadly gas probably place it in the World War One era.
