Cordell M. Andersen (born 1936-) is the founder of the Guatemalan Foundation (previously the Foundation for Indian Development) and the creator of the High Unitas Wilderness Project.

Cordell M. Andersen was born April 19, 1936 in Ames, Iowa to parents Ariel Andrew Andersen and Ines Morgan Andersen. He went on to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints in Central America, in 1956, primarily in Guatemala. He married Maria Bernard on January 20, 1959. Beginning in 1959, Andersen served in the United States Army as a medical specialist. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1963 with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish. After working for the Andersen Samplers and Consulting Service, he founded the Guatemalan Foundation with the help of his father, Ariel Andrew Andersen, which worked to provide humanitarian aid and education to thousands of Guatemalans. Later in life, he worked to produce "The High Unita Mountains: A Complete Guide to High Adventure in Utah's Alpine Wonderland" through wilderness exploration and documentation.
