Hobart family photographs
Scope and Contents
Collection includes Civil War era photographs of Edwin L. Hobart in military uniform, together with a later photograph of the Hobart family. Photographs were taken by various photographers, and date from the 1860s to the 1880s.

Biographical / Historical
The Hobart family, headed by Edwin L. Hobart, was originally from Illinois, and eventually migrated West. Edwin (1845-1935) was born in Illinois, and served as both an enlisted man and an officer during the Civil War. He and his wife, Emma, later settled in Denver, Colorado.
