Card family mission photographs
Scope and Contents
Collection includes four photographs and a postcard related to Card family missionary activities, including missionary group photographs including members of the Sloan family, as well as B.H. Roberts, Church history sites, and an illustration of the officers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Photographs were taken between the 1890s and the 1930s.

Biographical / Historical
The Card family, headed by Charles Ora Card, were pioneering members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and helped found the Mormon settlements in Alberta, Canada. Card had four wives, Sarah Jane Beirdneau, Sarah Jane Painter, Zina Presendia Young, and Lavinia Clark Rigby.
