Biographical / Historical

C.C. Chapman was born Charles Cleveland Chapman on September 20, 1913, in Illmo, Missouri, to Thomas Cleveland Chapman and Pauline Caroline Sullivan. He married Naomi Irene Boushard on September 16, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri. Together they had five children. Charles worked at NESCO for several years and retired after 35 years of service as the post photographer at the Granite City Army Depot. Upon retirement, Charles worked for Allied Photo in St. Louis and then became the owner and operator of Granite City Studio. Charles died on November 1, 2011, in Granite City, Illinois.
