Scope and Contents

Collection includes ten copy prints, with corresponding acetate negatives, of photographs which belonged to Edward Hunter. The photographs are mostly portraits and include an image of himself and images of Heber C. Kimball, John Taylor, Ralph David Wann, Alice Henry, Catherine Ann Brendel, Eugene Wann, and Susanna Brendel. Dated approximately 1850-1930.

Biographical / Historical

Edward Hunter (1793-1883) was a tanner, currier, surveyor, farmer, and ecclesiastical leader in Utah. He served as Presiding Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints between 1852 and 1883.
