Biographical / Historical

Jean Phyllis Black was a scholar of European history. During the 1920s, she spent years collecting sources for the monograph she intended to write about the diplomatic relationships between European powers regarding the controversy of the reunification of the Italian Peninsula. She lived in Italy and Austria as she was researching, and traveled around Western Europe, but her permanent residence beyond that time is unknown.
