Scope and Contents
Photocopies of research materials on Zane Grey used by Thomas Pauly to write the 2005 book Zane Grey: His Life, His Adventures, His women. Includes materials on Zane Grey's world record fish, "My Living Past," written by Zane Grey, correspondence, a Zane Grey diary photocopy, Dolly Grey diary photocopy, and the "key to Zane Grey's Sex Language Code" photocopy. The Zane Grey items where created by approximately 1900-1925.

Biographical / Historical
Thomas H. Pauly was born in 1940 in Missoula, Montana. He was a university professor, researcher, author, and lover of the outdoors.
Thomas H. Pauly was born in 1940 in Missoula Montana. He has traveled a lot, but spent most of his career in Delaware, working as an English professor for the University of Delaware. He received his BA at Harvard University and his PhD at the University of California at Berkeley. His most significant contribution to his field is probably the biography of Zane Grey he published in 2006: Zane Grey: His Life, His Adventures, His Women. He has also published four other books, including one on Elia Kazan, one on the historical background of Chicago, the musical, and a book on early American sport called Five Early American Champions and the Sports They Changed.
