Biographical History
Camiel Bruneel (1881-1962) was a farmboy born in Belgium who spent his early life in service to the German military during World War I.
Camiel Albertinus Bruneel was born to Charles and Eudoxie Bruneel in Elverdinge, Belgium 1881. While growing up, he eventually met and married a neighboring farmer girl Lydie Marie Vanraes in 1901 and had children shortly thereafter. After Belgium fell to the Germans in 1914, he was eventually called to serve in the German military for World War I. Eventually, in 1918, he and his family fled to the United States where they fled to Idaho, where his family would settle for the rest of his life until passing away in Boise, Idaho in 1962.
Biographical History
Sharon Bruneel is the wife of Franklin Camiel Bruneel, the grandson of Camille Albertinus Bruneel, and author of Camille's biography, "As Ever Yours C.B."
Sharon Bruneel was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. She married Frank C. Bruneel and they became the parents of eight children. Sharon wrote her autobiography and assembled many books in her quest to document her and Frank's family histories. In 1997, she came into possession of 36 letters that Frank's grandfather, Camiel Bruneel, wrote about his life in Elverdinge, West Flanders, Belgium. Eventually, the product of these letters would culminate in the biography "As Ever Yours CB."
