Forms and a typewritten draft of a published manuscript. The index was produced by the Division of Archives and Manuscripts at the Harold B. Lee Library of Brigham Young University starting in 1970 and was bound as a five-volume reference work in 1978.

Biographical / Historical

Capitol Records, Inc. is record label founded in 1942 by Johnny Mercer, Buddy DeSylva, and Glenn E. Wallichs. It was the first west coast-based record label in the United States, competing with major east coast labels of the time. Capitol Records was later acquired in 1955 by British music conglomerate EMI as a North American subsidiary. As of 2024, it was part of UMG's Interscope Capitol Labels Group.
