Content Description
Materials include two letters related to temple work being performed at the Saint George Temple. One letter, dated January 25, 1909, is from Joseph Warrington McAllister, St. George Temple Recorder, to David H. Cannon reporting on the status of sealings and endowments performed for names of individuals sent to the temple by Mary Gertrude Judd Cottam, including that of Zadock K. Judd. Cannon responded on January 28, 1909, to Mrs. Cottam indicating the matter has been investigated and that the report is enclosed (McAllister's letter). Letters are written on St. George Temple letterhead. Also includes an envelope that may be the original envelope in which these letters were sent. Materials dated January 1909.

Biographical History
David H. Cannon (1838-1924) was a president of the Saint George Temple.
David Henry Cannon was born on April 23, 1838 to George Cannon and Anne Quayle in Liverpool, England. He married Wilhelmina Logan Mousley, on January 15, 1859. He then married Josephine Langley Crossgrove, on October 19, 1867, and later Rhoda Ann Knell, on June 20, 1877.
David Cannon passed away on December 24, 1924 in St. George, Utah.

Joseph Warrington McAllister (1855-1930) was a recorder in the Saint George Temple.
Joseph Warrington McAllister was born on November 6, 1855 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Richard W. and Elizabeth Elanor Bell McAllister. He married Mary Ann Miller on 14 Feb 1876 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He later married Agatha Walker on Jan 27, 1885 in St. George, Utah.
McAllister passed away on March 25, 1930 in St. George, Utah.
