Richard B. Anderson (1941- ) is a family historian.

Richard B. Anderson was born on February 15, 1941 to parents Duane H. and Leola Seely Anderson. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1962. He is an active family historian.

Leola Seely Anderson (1910-1968) was a teacher, staff writer and photographer for the Salt Lake Tribune and co-organizer of Institute and early-morning Seminary in the San Bernardino area; she was the wife of H. Duane Anderson, president of the French mission from 1967-1970, and was active from about 1928 to 1968.

Leola Seely was born East Millcreek, Utah on June 19, 1910; she was the youngest daughter of Arta McLean Seely and Alfaretta Neff. She grew up mainly in Brigham City, Utah, where she taught school at an early age. She graduated from the Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah, and later from Brigham Young University, and married H. Duane Anderson in Salt Lake City in 1936. She worked as a staff writer and photographer for the Salt Lake Tribune around 1940, and was also the mother of two sons. She was active in literary circles, writing and publishing throughout her adult life. Leola moved with her family to San Bernardino, California, in 1946, where she taught English at San Bernardino Valley Union Junior College. She was influential during the 1950s in the organization of early-morning "Seminary" religious education for Latter-day Saint high-school students, as well as "Institute" religious training in post-secondary education. Leola accompanied her husband to Paris in 1967, where he had been called to preside over the French Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After a year of active leadership, during which she became known and beloved among the French Latter-day Saints, Leola was killed in a traffic accident in Bazas, Gironde, France, just three days short of her 58th birthday (June 16, 1968).
