Biographical History
Galen Updike (born 1948) is a telecommunications administrator and public speaker in Arizona.
Galen Updike was born on October 9, 1948. He lived in Murray, Utah as a young man, then went to Provo, Utah where he studied Asian Studies and History at Brigham Young University. He served as a Mormon mission to the Philippines between 1967 and 1969.
Updike entered the computer industry, initially in sales and later as an administrator with the Arizona Telecommunications & Information Council and the Rural Telecommunications Congress. He has also been active in the Arizona Republican Party, including service on the state Executive Committee and a term as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives. Updike is also a public speaker within the broadband community.
