International Harp Archive collection of harp materials
Scope and Contents
The International Harp Archive collection of harp materials consist of correspondence, newsletters, documentation of harp competitions, congresses, reports, programs, and minutes pertaining to the American Harp Society, and other harp organizations, as well as harp manufacturer’s brochures such as Lyon and Healy, Salvi, and others, photos, and materials relating to the performance of harp. The collection spans the dates of 1961-2011, and represents materials received in relation to the development of the International Harp Archives at Brigham Young University.

Administrative History
The International Harp Archive (1994- ) began as a significant collection of harp music and archival materials donated by Samuel O. Pratt and Rosalie Rebollo Pratt.
The International Harp Archive (1994- ) began as a significant collection of harp music and archival materials donated by Samuel O. Pratt and Rosalie Rebollo Pratt. The collection grew and the International Harp Archives were formally established at Brigham Young University in 1994, and now consists of the contributions of many individuals and organizations. The archive’s major objectives is to build a near-comprehensive library of scores and recordings that feature the harp, preserve documents related to the careers of important harpists and harp makers, maintain archives of organizations that promote the harp and its music, and to make all of these materials accessible to interested performers and researchers throughout the world.
