Biographical History
Alexander Hedquist (1872-1965) was a student at Brigham Young Academy, a banker, and a businessman.
Alexander Hedquist was born August 9, 1872, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The family moved to Provo in 1885 to improve the educational opportunities of the children. Hedquist attended Brigham Young Academy for three years. During this time he was awarded a certificate for being one of the two best spellers in the district. Mr. Hedquist was the Chamber of Commerce President from 1934 to 1936. Hedquist married Lovina Strong in 1897, but she died in 1908. He married Ella Vivia Finlayson in 1919. Hedquist died on February 5, 1965.
