Scope and Contents
Book issued by the United States government containing a message of the President of the United States respecting relations with Chile together with the diplomatic correspondence; the correspondence with naval officials; the inquiry into the attack of the seamen of the U.S.S. Baltimore in the streets of Valparaiso; and the evidence of the officers and crew of the steamer Keweenaw respecting the ill-treatment of Patrick Shields by the Chilean police. The book was published by the Washington Government printing office in 1892.
