Collection includes four documents. Items pertain to areas from Salt Lake City to Utah County and are mostly land documents. Items of note in this collection consist of a deed for Samuel Ensign's property and the Title for Parley P. Pratt's land while he lived in Utah. There is also a document pertaining to Margaret C. Adams.

Abstract

The Lois R. Evans legal documents consist of four different legal documents between Salt Lake and Utah County. The documents in the collection, though gathered by Lois R. Evans, pertain to Margaret C. Adams, Samuel Ensign, and Parley P. Pratt.

Custodial History note

Maintained by Lois R. Evans until time of donation; It is not known from where or from whom Evans received the documents. The documents in the Lois R. Evans legal documents collection were drawn up in Deseret News Office, a branch of the current Deseret News which constructed land documents and other legal documents, and at the Homer Abstract Company, a company which thrived in Salt Lake by writing titles and deeds from 1872 to 1925. In 1997 Evans donated the documents to L. Tom Perry Special Collections.
