Manuscript of an unpublished biography of Avard T. Fairbanks and CDs prepared by Eugene Fairbanks. Consists of a collection of stories and recollections from the life of Fairbanks. The biography originates mainly from dictations from Avard T. Fairbanks about his own life, but also includes stories from various family members on specific times in Fairbank's life. The biography covers Fairbanks' early life in Utah, his studies in both the United States and abroad, his work on Latter-day Saint temples, his various sculpture projects, and his personal and family life. The item dates from approximately 1980.

Biographical History
Eugene F. Fairbanks (b. 1921) is a retired physician and author. He is the son of Avard T. Fairbanks.
Eugene F. Fairbanks was born in 1921 in Eugene, Oregon to Avard T. Fairbanks and Beatrice Maude Fox. He assisted his father with modeling, plaster casting and photography for sculpture while his father worked as a university professor. Eugene studied medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School. He served as a transport durgeon in the Army Medical Corps and then worked as a family physician in Washington state until retiring in 1995. Eugene also authored several books about his father's sculptures and art techniques. He and his wife Florence had five sons and five daughters.
