The Eva Burton Franz and Bernice B. Holmes papers consists of three books. Eva Burton Franz's poetic diary and letters are included; Bernice B. Holmes' poetry is also included. Eva Franz's letters and poetry pertain to her courtship with John Cahoon, family matters and nature. Bernice B. Holmes' poetry dwells on her inner thoughts on her life and surroundings. The collection dates from circa 1907 to 1991.

Biographical History
Eva Burton Franz was born 2 November 1908 in Afton, Wyoming. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1931 with a Bachelors in Science. She did graduate work at the University of California, Berkley and San Francisco State. She married John Cahoon Franz in 1933 and they had five children together.
Biographical History
Bernice Burton Holmes was born 20 June 1907 in Afton, Wyoming. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1931. She did graduate work at Harvard. She and her husband Dr. LaMar L. Holmes have four children together.
