Scope and Contents note

The Loeber family history contains the genealogical line of the Loeber family with stories included, starting with personal stories ranging from the year 1567 to 1961. The collection also contains birth, baptism, marriage, and death dates. The history accounts for the immigration of some of the Loeber line from Germany to America. It was originally compiled by Gotthold H. A. Loeber from 1927 to 1936, supplemented and annotated by Carl G. Loeber 1960-1961, and then enlarged and updated by Telka and Anita Loeber from 1979-1980.

Biographical History

Gotthold Heinrich Loeber was born on October 28, 1853 in Missouri. He married Helene Strahnen on October 19, 1878. She passed away and he later married Bertha Gast on July 20, 1887. His father was from Germany and he was a minister for his church. He died March 21, 1944.
