Forrest W. Winkfield's diaries account for his time in Oregon between the years 1945-1949. The diaries also document the years towards the end of his life. The diaries go through personal events while portraying the nature of the social history of Mormonism and American life during the post-war years and the late 1970s.

Biographical History
Forrest W. Winkfield (1899-1986) was an LDS patriarch in Oregon.
Forrest W. Winkfield was born January 7, 1899, in Rico, Colorado. He converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pima, Arizona, in 1929. He served as a Mormon bishop, a high councilor, and as a patriarch in the Medford, Oregon Stake, giving a total of 721 patriarchal blessings. He married his second wife Eunice in September 1979. He died November 17, 1986.
