Scope and Contents
Collection consists of Law's personal and professional files and papers documenting her career in education, particularly in music. It includes materials from her time as a professor at Brigham Young University (BYU), and from her time in elementary music education (including Primary materials), as well as personal materials. These include microfilm and audiocassette recordings of personal and student choral training, photographs, Church handbooks on Primary music education, assorted music books, solos, and choral arrangements, BYU course materials, personal and professional correspondence, assorted articles written and addresses given by Lue, newspaper clippings, material from her various professional associations, personal history and finances, travel guides and souvenirs, correspondence from, and military records of, her brothers Leslie and Mack, as well as a stamp collection, diaries and talk notes, supervision material, scrapbooks, slides and visual aids, and phonograph records.

Biographical History
Lue Groesbeck Law (1913-1978) was a music educator in Utah.
Lue Stevenson Groesbeck Law was born July 24, 1913 to Hyrum and Lue Emma Stevenson Groesbeck of Ogden, Utah. She graduated from American Fork High School, 1932; received her B.S. in Music and Elementary Education from BYU, 1948; received her M.A. in Music Education from BYU in 1966; and other graduate studies were conducted at the University of Utah, Teacher's College of Columbia University, and Orange State College. After graduation, she taught in Provo City and Alpine schools, then served as supervisor of Millard, Emery, and Weber county school districts; state director of Elementary Education for the State of Utah; and professor of Music Education, Brigham Young University. She taught workshops and extension classes in elementary music education in Carbon County, San Juan, Millard County, Jordan, Davis County, Weber county, Ogden, Provo, Iron County, Alpine, and Uintah County; and was a lecturer on Music for Children in Utah, Arizona, Idaho, and Oregon. She was a member of the Music Educator's National Conference, the Utah (Music) Education Association(s), the National Education Association, the Association for Childhood Education, and the Music Committee for the State Department of Instruction. She published two articles: "Teachers! Don't Be Afraid to Sing!" (1963); and "Music Reading: What Shall We Feed Them?" (1962), both of which appeared in the Utah Music Educator. She also served as state president of ACEI (the Association for Childhood Education International), 1957-59. In 1973 she married Reuben Deem Law. She passed away on June 27, 1978 in Provo, Utah.
