Administrative History
The National Federation of State Poetry Societies, Inc. (NFSPS) began in 1959 after Mary B. Wall and other poets throughout the nation decided they needed an organization to unite poets across the US. It began in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with 10 member states, and in 2007 there were 35 member states.
