Autobiography of Paul Parrish Ashworth, a leader in the electrical industry of the western United States. In it he gives not only his own autobiography, but short summaries of the lives of his parents and grandparents. Because of Ashworth’s career, this collection is full of early western technical information.

Biographical History
Paul Parrish Ashworth (1887-1960) was a leader in the electrical industry and was Chief Engineer of UPL.
Paul Parrish Ashworth was born on October 4, 1887 in Beaver, Beaver County, Utah to William Booth Ashworth and Mary Elizabeth Shepherd. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1911, after which he attended Cornell University. Through all of his studies he worked at a hydroelectric power station, the business he would continue to do the rest of his life (p. 26). On January 14, 1916 he married Jane Dutcher Ferrin in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. They had six children together. He was a leader in the electrical industry and was mentored by Luciin Nunn and was Chief Engineer of UPL. He died April 23, 1960 in Glendora, Los Angeles, California.
