Biographical note
In early 1987, the president of the Hawaii Temple requested that the LDS Church repair the friezes on the temple façade. Justin Fairbanks, son of original sculptor Arvard Fairbanks, was asked to prepare a plan for the restoration work. He recruited Ballard T. White, then Division Chair of Business at Eastern Arizona College, to serve as the business manager for the project. The restoration was completed in the summer of 1987.
