Stephen Henry Winter mission journals
Scope and Contents
The journals contain three volumes from Winter's first mission to Great Britain (at the beginning of which he also served briefly in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), while the miscellaneous items include photographs, certificates, and his patriarchal blessing.

Biographical History
Stephen Henry Winter was born 25 April 1890 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served his first mission to Great Britain from 1915-1918, which was extended because of World War I. He married Gladys Robison on 4 September 1919 in Salt Lake. He served as a bishop in San Francisco, and later as San Francisco Stake president for seven years. In the 1960s, Winter and his wife served a two-year mission to Great Britain. Winter died on 4 April 1983.
