Organizational History
The Taylor, Romney & Armstrong lumber company was organized in 1881 and was based in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1869, Thomas Taylor, Thomas Latimer, W. H. Folsom, and George Romney formed a lumber mill business. In 1874, Mr. Folsom sold his interest to Francis Armstrong. In 1881, after the death of Mr. Latimer, the remaining partners purchased his interest and changed the name of the firm to Taylor, Romney & Armstrong.
