Here, in 1882, his daily journal entries begin. He returns to Ogden in 1884 and has a difficult time finding employment. He is set apart to serve in Presidency of the 77th Quorum of the Seventy. He sees the funeral procession of missionaries killed by a mob in Georgia. He becomes a home missionary. Here, the journal ends. A few blessings are included. Correspondence is copied into the journal.
