Collection includes the original manuscript and a photocopy of Paul W. Belcher's novel, The Cruise of the Petrel. The manuscript is the fourth draft of the work. It is handwritten on lined paper, hand illustrated, has ten chapters, and is one hundred-forty pages in length. The story is about three boys, Jack, Paul, and Dick, who build a yacht and go on an adventure in the Great Salt Lake. They find radium on a mysterious island. There is also a love story that develops throughout the book.
