John H. Bosanko and John James diaries
Scope and Contents
Handwritten diaries. Bosanko kept his journals in 41 volumes from 1888 to 1953. He describes his government service for Great Britain both in that country and in India. Many entries are lengthy and detailed. The author includes an incomplete index and a summary of important events of his life. Also included are 2 volumes of diaries kept by John James (1822-1886) from 1855 to 1883. James lived most of his early years in Tennessee and later served as a clergyman for the Methodist Church in Ireland. The diaries have many gaps.
