Scope and Contents
This volume contains the record of Joseph S. Peery, Superintendent of Weber County Schools; Peery's deputy, T. B. Lewis; and Mosiah Hall, another Superintendent of Weber County Schools. The record was kept from 28 October 1890 to 30 December 1893 and contains the Superintendents' notes on their daily activities; their visits to various schools in the district, with the names of teachers and their impressions of the teachers' abilities; and the dates of various teacher meetings/examinations. Includes newspaper clippings on education and a brief, handwritten index. Also includes a brief reference to David O. McKay.

Theodore B. Lewis was born 18 Nov. 1843 in St. Louis, Missouri. He served as Deputy Superintendent of Weber County Schools in Weber County, Utah, in the 1890s. He died 20 July 1899 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Mosiah Hall was born 12 March 1862 in Kaysville, Utah. He served as Superintendent of Weber County Schools in Weber County, Utah, beginning in 1893. He died 11 February 1949 in Los Angeles, California.

Joseph Strass Peery was born 5 October 1868 in Ogden, Utah. He served as Superintendent of Weber County Schools in Weber County, Utah, from 1890 to 1893. He died 8 December 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
