Thomas Gledhill journal
Scope and Contents
Original, manuscript copy of the British Missionary Journal of Thomas Gledhill, September 1892-December 1893, plus a typescript of the mission journal, including typed copy for the year 1894 (location of original for that year unknown). The typescript, edited by Randall L. Christensen, 1993, is bound and indexed and includes a map of the mission. Also included with the journal is a CD with five electronic photographs of Gledhill and his family, scans of the original journal, and an electronic copy of the typescript.

Biographical note
Gledhill was born 17 April 1856 in Oldham, Lancashire, England, to Betty Hague and Edward Gledhill. He married Lillie Belle Ivie (1865-1929) in 1882 and worked as a farmer and stockraiser in Sevier County, Utah, where he was also the second bishop. He died in Richfield, Sevier County, Utah, 8 January 1882.
