Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Herbert Bate was born in 1844 in England and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He migrated to Utah in 1859 and settled in American Fork. He married Jane Dunn Shelley.
