Collection on motion picture publicity and promotion
Scope and Contents
Various sized film posters, domestic and foreign, used by theaters to advertise films exhibited. The collection also includes souvenir programs sold by theaters and pressbooks provided by the distributors that contain press releases, newspaper advertising mats, illustrations of available posters, and other promotional materials. Other media such as tie-in study guides for schools, magazine advertisements, three-dimensional objects, and related items are also included in the collection. These materials range from the 1920s through the 1970s, and were produced in the United States, Argentina, Belgium, China, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland.

Condition delicate; permission to use collection must be obtained from the Supervisor of Reference Services.
