The collection contains the journals, notebooks, and documents of Hugh Roberts while serving a mission in the Southern States from April 1899 - July 1901. Typescripts of the collection have been made by Brian C. Roberts and are contained in the collection.

Biographical / Historical
Hugh Roberts was born on May 22, 1876 to Robert D. Roberts and Hannah Roberts in Logan, Cache, Utah. He served a mission to the Southern States, from April 1899 - July 1902. He died on July 1, 1958 in Washington D.C.
