Biographical History
William E. McLellin (1806-1883) was one of the early converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was called as one of the original Twelve Apostles by the Prophet Joseph Smith. He began to apostatize from the Church and was eventually excommunicated. He became an opponent to the Church and was part of the mob in Missouri.
