Scope and Contents
Contains Brigham Young University's motion picture collection of films created by various motion picture studios. The films date from approximately 1920-1979. Most of them were created in or near Hollywood, although many were shot on location around the world.

Condition restricted; patrons should use reference DVDs. Permission to use originals must be obtained from the Supervisor of Reference Services.

Custodial History
16mm prints were created by the studios for distribution to colleges, universities, prisons, and television stations. Those films were then either discarded or sold. All films were purchased, and no specific custodial history was provided upon purchase.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Flying Devils and many other films were purchased from Jerry Bryant, the film broker.
